Born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands I developed an interest in genealogy when my father began looking for information on his biological family. My father was adopted at a very young age and while he had met his birth parents a few times knew next to nothing about their parents or grandparents.

I set out to help my father and myself learn about the people who came before us and made it possible for us to even be here.

My father's paternal surnames include LaPlace, Turbe, Magras, (Chapelin/ Chaplin/ Chapelain), Danet, Greaux, Questel/Quêtel, Cerge, Bernier, Ledee, basically all the founding families of Saint-Barthélemy.

His maternal surnames include Boynes/Boyles, Petersen, Holm, Hines, Boldt, Karen

My mother's paternal surnames include Xavier and Augustus/Augustin
