I became interested in cemeteries in 1973. We moved to our second farm in the Summer of 1972. It wasn’t until the foliage died that a large area of overgrown brush & trees was revealed to be the farm’s family cemetery. In the Spring of 1973 we kids took on the challenge of clearing all the overgrowth. A lot of hard work and, we found out, poison oak. I read all the headstones and researched their history.
