William M. Gargan is Language and Literature Bibliogrpaher at the Brooklyn College Library (City University of New York). The founder and moderator of Beat-l, the first listserv devoted to the Beat Generation, he has written numerous reviews and articles on Beat related topics for Library Journal, Choice, Beat Scene, and The Scribner Encyclopedia of American Lives, among other publications. He is also the co-author (with Sue Sharma) of Find Than Tune: An Index to Rock, Folk-Rock, Disco & Soul in Collections (1988).
