My interest in family history began in the early 1980's, but work, kids, etc. got in the way and it was set aside, until recently. I retired in 2014 and now split my time between Venice FL and Fairport NY. Genealogy and family history are now my retirement "jobs".

My family goes back 5 - 7 generations in western New York, primarily in the counties of Erie and Cattaraugus. My paternal line in the U.S. dates back to mid-1600's in CT and MA.

Recent surnames in my paternal line includes: Skeels, Ditcher, Mullally, Smith, Morey, Hanrahan, Howe & Houghton. And for my maternal line: Linsler, Crowley, Knoll, O'Brien, Lallemand, Spittler, Donavan & Foudy.
