Bio

I have been researching my Family Tree and all families of Dufferin County and area over 40 years - accumulating countless resources and willing to help others with roots in the area, if I can. I have created many Memorials for unrelated individuals in local cemeteries - which I have personally photographed and/or researched - to honour their memory.

I will be happy to transfer management of Memorials to a family member (freely for most, within guidelines for a select few). Please send your request and provide your relationship through the edit system. Choose 'Suggest Edits', then 'Contact Manager'.

Please know that, when I send an edit, I have a source or reason for the suggestion and will provide that upon request (or add a note to the edit). In the same way, I will not just accept edits. If I cannot confirm the information suggested, with available records, I will ask for sources or may offer to transfer the Memorial to you.

If I do not know the date, place, etc., I leave that section blank. Please do NOT suggest edits based on assumptions, expecting me to share your guess or 'what someone else posted' with others (and there are those who do). I do not want to mislead other researchers with undocumented facts.

If you do NOT have a documented source, please don't waste my time and your time with edits which will not be accepted. If you do have a legitimate source, please add an image or add a note to your suggestion to aid in locating the document for confirmation.

We now have the option to send a note with our edits to explain the source/reason for the suggestion. Thank you Find A Grave! This will, hopefully, save time and take the guesswork out of trying to confirm facts which are sometimes obscure.

Find A Grave is a wonderful resource. I have learned much from the contributions of others who actually 'Find A Grave' and photograph it and share for the benefit of others. Others research and find and connect families in cemeteries far and wide. Thank you all!
