I am a resident of Fowler, Otero County, Colorado, and have been compiling a database of all individuals in the Fowler Cemetery. I have transcribed burial information from the cards and boundbooks at City Hall into an excel spreadsheet and shared this database with interested individuals such as the Town of Fowler and the Fowler Historical Society. Monte McCandless and others at the Fowler Historical Society have assisted me in compiling a list of veterans interred at the Fowler Cemetery who may not have been included in the American Legion's 2007 list of veterans. The American Legion Post has been disbanded, but the tradition of flag placement on veterans graves on Memorial Day will be continued by the Fowler Historical Society.
