Retired teacher, mother of 3 adult children and avid family researcher. Have begun to add GPS to the memorials already created and I am adding both as I discover memorials that aren't recorded. I find the hobby a relaxing way to enjoy the outdoors. I am following in my late mothers footsteps.
I began updating the memorials in Find a Grave for my church cemetery in November 2022. It was last done in 2011 and none of them had GPS attached to them. To date I have a photographed percentage of 98% and a GPS percentage of 95%
For my own family I am currently following the White, Newcomb, Turner, Schaeffer, O'Neill, O'Brien, Reid, Kenny and Roach lines and have been able to go back 6 generations in some cases. Most of the family resided in the Philadelphia area into New Jersey and some New York.
