I volunteered for Findagrave while working at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA trying to find parents for the hundreds of Wounded Warriors there and in the cemetery behind the hospital. Many sailors were buried there whose families were unknown or unreachable or could not afford to bury their sailor elsewhere. It grew on me and I began working other national cemeteries then cemeteries where my family members are buried. I love it and I'm happy to help with any burials near my home in Chesapeake, VA.
