Dearest Gazzier and Barnes Families:

I am the 3rd child of Edward Hayes Gazzier Sr. and Vivian Mae Barnes Gazzier.
My dad was born in Bayou La Batre, AL (at Dr. Tapia's office) to Emanuel Edward Gazzier and Mary Cecile Bosarge Gazzier.
My mother was born in Acadia Parrish, LA in a
"seed shack" to Burney Cornelius Barnes Sr and Iris (nmn) Fusilier Barnes.
My sister: Cheryl Lynn Gazzier Payton (1952-1976) passed away in Mobile County, death by a serial killer. After her death, I married her widower; Douglas Glenn Payton.
Douglas and I raised Cheryl's two boys together and in addition, added 3 boys and a daughter. By 2008, we were fresh out of kids and continue to live quietly in Tillman's Corner.
My only Brother Edward Jr. lives a very adventurous life in the woods of George County, MS. He does live in a house with toilet, electricity and running water though. He hunts, deep sea fishes, and loves canoeing. He has 3 daughters and 2 sons.
I am very honored and thankful of my lineage and will do my best to honor that by living my life as a Christian, good neighbor and friend.
Currently, I am adding to the memorials on this site for the Gazzier and Barnes families. I have added photos of my Dad's brothers and a few others. Please forgive me if I have erred. I will make corrections when needed. Love to all, Susan
