I do research and record my family history because so much of it was lost because little or no effort was made to preserve it. Whether good or bad all history is important and essential in our understanding of who we are. What I am preserving, I hope, will be passed on as a starting point for future generations. Many names of people, places, and events told to me by elder family members no longer exist, but I am so grateful for the information they gave me because it makes me feel as though I was a part of something more than who I am today. I would listen to their stories with awe at how they were able to accomplish so much with so little and I want to share these stories with those that will come after me. I started working with Find A Grave because I believed that it allow family members a chance to visit their love ones to pay respect and not forget the ones that came before them. To all of the FAG contributors, I thank you and ask that we treat the memorials we manage with honor and respect. They are not just a number, but the love of someone's life.

Please do not post copies of death certificates on the memorials that I manage. Select items from the death certificate are applicable but not all. If you want to add an obituary please make sure that the names of the living are omitted for privacy reasons. If you have an appropriate photo of the individual, feel free to add it to the memorial.
