I live in Michigan. I was a newspaper reporter many years ago. Today I volunteer as the librarian at a private Lutheran school for kindergarten to eighth grade.

My father was the family genealogist. He died in February 2023 on his 81st birthday. I am picking up the mantle, perhaps only temporarily. I at least want to make sure that what he was able to accomplish is documented and shared.

He was active here on Find A Grave. I am seeing what I can transfer from his account and how I can tie up loose ends. Who knows? Maybe I will grow to like the hobby. So far, it seems like fun!
