Unpacking the box from the attic. It is a treasure of information and photos. This includes Panzers of Watonwan County, Ludvigsons of Martin & Watonwan Counties and Stedmans of Cottonwood & Watonwan Counties Minnesota.

My mother collected this information for more than 50 years before the computer age, interviewed many of those long gone and took extensive, detailed notes about them. She was the family historian for 8 lines of genealogy (my 8 great-grand parents). I want to share this with interested relatives no matter how distant.

Will be happy to fulfill photo requests once I become more organized and proficient. Please give photo volunteers including myself credit for their pictures. Although photos may be copied, their source should always be attached to the image. I do not authorize use of my photos in publications - permission is required.

I have set up some memorials for friends and acquaintances who didn't have one already done. If one of these is your relative I would be happy to transfer the memorial to you if that is your wish.

My policy for now is, and it could change - for close, distant or non-relatives the person who is most knowledgeable of the deceased person's life should manage the memorial. Memorials shouldn't be used as a commodity. If you have more than 500 memorials and don't have time to reply to my message or request, maybe you have more than you can manage. Users who are complete strangers should transfer ANY memorial request promptly to ANY relative who has an interest in the deceased and has information to share. I'm not going have some 'stranger' scrutinize, disapprove or approve of my work about someone I grew up with and spent the holidays with.

"Our first preference would be for the manager to be a relative, someone who knew the person or someone with ties to the cemetery or location."
