Bio

On December 7, 1948, I was born as Wilfred Lloyd Pirtle the child of Otto Lloyd Pirtle and Lois Virginia Parker. In (about) 1949, my parents divorced, at which time, my mother (against the order of the divorce decree) moved herself, my two half-siblings and me to Arkansas where she placed me into the care of a foster family (later to be placed into an orphanage). In (about) 1953, my mother met, and married, William (Bill) Robert Baker. In (about) 1956, Bill Baker, while stationed on active duty with the Army, at Ft Hood, Killen, Bell, Texas, (illegally)adopted my two half-siblings and me, thus changing my name from that of Wilfred Lloyd Pirtle to that of William Lloyd Baker (I found this out in 1964 when I (accidentally) found my original Birth Certificate, discovering my true blood line). The relationship between Bill Baker and myself, at the start, was very good. Around 1969 (when he and my mother were getting a divorce) our relationship started to deteriorate. In 1972 he and I had a major falling out. The falling out was serious enough that in 1976, I went to court and had a legal name change to that of Billie Lloyd Pirtle, thus going back to my biological last name.

There are 'hints', on Ancestry that point to me with my adopted name of William Lloyd Baker (or William L Baker) such as my marriage (and divorce) to Karen Sue Cloutier, as well as my military service from 1968 to 1972 (one year in Vietnam).
