Bio

I have been doing my ancestry research for a few years and found this website extremely valuable for finding new or supporting information to what I have previously found elsewhere.
I am Fluent in Hebrew and started translating and posting the Hebrew headstone inscriptions of headstone I view (mostly my Family). I find that the you get your research back a generation with the Hebrew Inscriptions. If you need some headstone Hebrew translated, feel free to reach out to me and I will translate and add to the find-a-grave memorial.
Notes on Jewish headstones: The typical format is son or daughter (ben/bar or bat) of Father name. Also father can be listed as HaCohen, HaLevi or Rabbi.
Other notes. In Jewish Tradition if death is after sundown the Hebrew date is recorded as the next day. That should explain any discrepancy between other records you may have found and what Hebrew date is actually on the headstone.
