Bio

Hello,

I grew up and live in Wisconsin. I have ancestors from Germany, Norway, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Here is a list of surnames of all my 5th great grandparents that I've been able to find (If you have DNA on ancestry.com and share any of these names, we might connect.): Cary, Weldon, Whiston, Smith, Howe, Balcom, Carson, Savage, Greeley, Morrill, Robinson, Brown, Hook, Cole, Kent, Wilkinson, Barlow, Plant, Maidens, Hills, Hubbard, Wheat, Richards, Mead, Keeler, Gilles, Weckbersch, Einig, Steffens, Naeckel, Haubrichs, Schmitt, Goederts, Jacobs, Mueller, Nuhs, Boersch, Bach, Reitel, Lentz, Kohlmann/Kollmann, Gerhard, Sippel, Kimmel, Dreschler, Hergert, Schaefer/Schaefers/Schäfers, Düvel, Köhler, Koch, Krawinkel, Willeke, Reker/Recker/Redeker/Rӓdeker, Weghman, Niehus, Elking, Rönker, Möcke, Mormann, Poggerman, Thyes, Rottman, Ovel/Over/Ouvers, Bruns, Johanning, Sieve, Rabe, Haverkamp, Koopmann, Wessling/Wessel, Liening, Blum, Jacobi, Ahrendes/Arendes, Petsche, Rom, Gerschech, Koss, Halversen Valle, Ingebretsdtr Tveiten, Levorsen Kjomme, and Nielsdatter Landsværk.

I'd like to also point out if you are German and Catholic. Not all German Catholic records have been filmed. All of my German Catholic records are not available online. Therefore, if you have German Catholics in your tree as well, you may have to visit a local office of Latter Day Saints - Mormon to find the records you are searching for. Do not just take the records that are available online and assume they are your family. If you know they are from a certain location, start at that town or county first until you find a record that proves the family came from another location. Just be careful because we don't want a bunch of people walking around with the wrong information. I was contacted by someone who lives near Dringenberg and helped me a little bit on my Schaefer and Koch families. I haven't been able to get to a office of Latter Day Saints - Mormon to look for more. Hopefully maybe some day if I have spare time I'll get to one.

Happy Hunting!
