I started Genealogy late in life as I knew it was addictive . But when I found my G Grandmother's name , it was like pouring gas on the fire . It has been a source of great pleasure & fills many hours for me . I will soon be 94 years of age & I feel blessed that I am able to do this . Have done families of friends & other family members .
My G Grandmother was Hester Dover Rooks who married William Rooks & after he died during the Civil War she married George Washington Cook .
