Bio

I am a 52-year-old woman living in Texas. My maternal grandmother's name was Maria Manuela Fondabila or Fondebila. She was born either in Havana Cuba or on the ship. I have also been told part of the family was from the Canary Islands. My Maternal grandfather's name was Anthony Fernandez, and he was from Cantabria, Spain. (we think the town of Santander). Their son, George Francis, is my grandfather. He had/has sisters named Betty, Eunice and another I cannot recall at the moment. My great grandparents were married in Pensacola more than likely. I am interested in both names, Fernandez and Fondabila. My mother's maiden name is Fernandez, so it has been a tad easier finding info on that side. However, Anthony dropped off the map while my grandfather was still I child, I think. Maria raised three children alone. If anyone else has any of the same relatives or something almost the same, I would love to hear.
