What began as a curiosity is now a part-time hobby. I got into genealogy when my brother and father passed away within months of each other. I thought of it as a way to put together a family tree.

Now that I have been working on it for a bit, the generosity of the public on this site has made me want to give back and document as much as I can.

My current plan is to document the cemetery where my mother, grandfather, great grandparents and great great grandparents are buried (Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah, PA) to get a better understanding of what life was like where they grew up. It has been interesting learning the history of a town through its former members.
