Bio

Born in SK, raised in SK & MB, lived in BC, now in AB. Retired.
Interested in genealogy as a child, figuring out how folks were related and more so since about 1980. Took AB Genealogical Society basic course in 1999. Community history books and memberships with My Heritage, Ancestry and GRandMaOnline are helpful tools. Discovering Findagrave in 2019 was a dream come true and I contribute to it constantly, offering edits, adding names, dates, places, photos and linking family members.

When I create a "FGM" (FindaGrave Memorial) I do so out of affection and/or respect for the individual and/or to link family members: not for personal gratification or to gain numbers "like notches on a rifle handle".
I'm happy to transfer a FGM to a family member if the member explains how they are related to the deceased. I can only hope others will do the same for me.
Note: I have not "taken" most of the photos attributed to me here. I likely cropped and/or lightened them to make them more legible and reposted them.
