Hello, Welcome to my Family.
I have worked on my families for over 20 Years with my Mom and Aunts.
I have also worked with Dr. Donald Yates on DNA Projects on Southern Families and Native American Genealogy for over 20 years. I worked for him when he started DNA Consultants (www.dnaconsultants.com) and had a Carney DNA Project there. I also still monitor the DNA Communities (www.dnacommunities.com) Ancestor Community Boards. My interest are especially devoted to finding Native American, Jamestown Ancestors, and First African and Melungeon kin. There are interesting books on the subject .
My interest lies in Historical Regional Research with emphasis on Gulf Coast Region, French, Spanish, British Settlements and the Indian Trader Economics. I Have an extensive collection of books on Natives in Alabama, MS, FL, and GA. TN, VA/NC I do Genealogy on harder to find research and decided to bring that knowledge here.
Personally I like to read Historical Non-Fiction and Historical Fiction Novels, especially Time-Travels.
I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a BS in Education and Major in Leisure Services.
I came across this website when looking for a kinsman. I was delighted to find photos of family Churches and Gravesites, and realized I could contribute by linking up my kin and my research files. Places I have Photographed, and info gathered my Genealogy Buff Kinfolk.
Of Particular knowledge is Choctaw County, And Washington County AL
Cemeteries that were recorded by Kin Cousin Sarah Mozingo.
Le-Jons in Clarke County, MS was started by my Grandfather and Hebron was started by my Great Grandfather. These cemeteries are out of town for me, and I have added all I have, however, Kin is buried here and I might have Knowledge/Research on them.
Thank you for your interest, your contributions, and your love of your Volunteerism. Suggested Edits are Welcome. I Will reply as soon possible, however I am sometimes on Hiatus.
