I am a retired police detective from North Wilkesboro NC. I was born and raised in McDowell County from 1966 until I moved in 1987 to Wilkes County to take the above employment. I married a wonderful lady here and we have one daughter Allison Nichole Cheek. We still return to McDowell County every couple of months. Also my Dads name is Connie David Cheek one of the grandsons of Walter Henry Cheek and Mary Ellen Williams Cheek.
