Passionate Genealogist and nature lover. Started my Genealogy journey several decades ago. Lived my whole life in Kingston upon Thames and spent several years getting to know Kingston Cemetery very well.

My preferred format for recording plot numbers at Kingston is eg C CON 4321, C GEN 4321, C LAWN 4321 etc so would be grateful if people would use this format. I have many reasons for this: 1. It makes it so much easier for me when sorting the photo requests and so makes me quicker and more efficient when trying to fulfil requests, which is better for everyone! 2. It's how the cemetery themselves refer to plots. 3. It is consistent with the cemeteries map. So far requests for Cremated Remains and Roman Catholic plots are fewer so doesn't feel so critical but the same format would help with consistency.

I like to take several photos of a plot to include close up of inscriptions, whole plot and a wider view for context and to help with identifying location (although realise it may help me more than a stranger!)

I prefer to fulfil requests for people with a connection to the deceased or who are researching the deceased, rather than for people who upload large numbers of memorials and then request photos for them; whilst also recognising the importance of and having the desire to, photograph them all! I would not discriminate against them while working a particular area!

Always willing to help when I can and often go the extra mile.

A thank you is appreciated as is interaction, so don't hesitate to get in touch.
