I have had an interest in family history for some time, through my mother. Brought up knowing about our Bennett family that came out to Christchurch, New Zealand on the "Cressy" one of the First Four Ships.
Living in the Waimakariri District I enjoy visiting cemeteries here and enjoy researching some of the early settlers to the area.
Also the Ashburton Cemetery as have many extended family members there on both sides of my family.
