Bio

Please feel free to use any of the grave photos I take and upload. I do this activity for fun, not for fame.

Other than my camera (iPhone XR), I also carry a trowel and a whisk broom. I will clean up the marker the best I can. Regardless of that, markers may still not photograph well due to lighting, black mold, etc.

My home base is Indianapolis. I am a professional information researcher by training (i.e research librarian). Despite that I will still make mistakes, so please check me.

My primary mission is to document cemeteries by photographing markers and adding them to existing memorials without grave photos in order to preserve the memory of those who have passed.
I light-heartedly refer to this as "immortalization." This has been challenging due to conflicting information on "actual" markers vs. the memorial data (i.e. spelling, dates, etc.)

I also research members of the Indiana 11th Battery Light Artillery of the Civil War. I maintain a collection of these members in a Virtual Cemetery. Should you discover any markers that indicate the Indiana 11th Battery, please send me a message.

The cat's name is Zany. Rest in peace - 11 March 2024
