Summer 2019 was busy working on and at the Greenbush cemetery, a small rural cemetery not far from my parent's farm, where my great grandparents, my uncle Bernie, and other relatives are buried. I've been researching history and records dating back to 1800s confirming those buried there and obtaining obituaries. So far, 117 have been identified, dating back to 1872. Over 1/3 are unmarked graves and another 3rd are babies and children. I drew up a sketch for a memorial, got approval and with my family's help we created the memorial to all the unmarked graves (photo above). We also installed new metal directory boxes (built by my brother Arnold's business Next Innovations), at Greenbush and the Princeton cemeteries. I am also pulling together the history of the church, St. Francis deChantel (1878 to 1936) which once stood near the Greenbush cemetery. There are a few folks left that remember going to that church. .(my dad is one of them and he's 91).
