History and genealogy have always been a passion in my life. I am fortunate to know many generations of my ancestry. Family names include Verral, McLaren, Sweetland, Dickson, Lees and Playfair amongst others.

I remember fondly hours spent with my great grandmother McLaren and stories of the west before her return to Lanark County.
