I enjoy doing family research when time allows. I currently reside in Western Australia, but when I find that there are no memorials or grave information for family members, I add the death details so that other family members living closer to the cemeteries can explore where the plot is and we an update the web page. I tend to do most of my work on wikitree finding sources and updating the pages so that it is easier for people to find their kin connections. I will often source for profiles whether they are family or not on Wikitree because I realise the importance of knowing our ancestral heritage. I am glad to connect with other people doing similar:) Just a postscript to my original profile notes - you will find that I often source photographs of gravestones that are on Ancestry for loading on the memorials on FAG. My motivation is out of respect to those who have passed on before us - to make their existence more 'real' however, I am aware of the potential for copyright infringements. I don't 'own' or manage all the profiles I add them too, but on those that I manage, i encourage family members (or photograph owners) to upload pictures of their own that they own the copy right to. For those that I 'poach' from public websites, I realised some time ago (after loading my own photos) that once they go public, people will download them and then reload them as though they are original 'photograph holder' or 'owner', which makes it hard to find the 'source of the photo'. If you see a photo on here that you believe is 'yours', then please contact the memorial manager so that you can be credited for the photograph to ensure that the 'correct person' gets the credit and not the 'pirate'. Thanks for your understanding:)
