Bio

I am a life long Alaskan. I am a busy Wife & Momma of 5 beautiful children. I wake up every morning in awe of God's artwork when he created Alaska. Everywhere I travel I can find beauty in different forms of landscape. But I am always happy to come back to this rugged & wild place I call home.
I am enjoying this family history journey of traveling with my best friend, who is also my Momma, and documenting our family history together. My love of professional family photography has spilled over into genealogy. I love the thrill of finding long lost family (members) gravestones and capturing it's quiet beauty in the best light. There is something so peaceful about the stillness of a cemetery. The emotions I feel when I find someone I am connected to and I haven't had the privilege of meeting in my lifetime is humbling. The veil to heaven feels so close. There have been many times that I feel the presence of angels that aid us in finding our loved ones. I know that my Heavenly Father has given me this task to do the work of my kindred dead. Doing these "Find A Grave" memorials are my way of honoring them as I do this important work. I feel it gives a sense of closure and peace when you can see the final resting place, even if you can't be there.
