Bio

As a 14th generation American, my paternal forefathers immigrated from England during the early 1600s and settled in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Following the American Revolutionary War, my direct forefathers left New England and settled in the Appalachians of southwestern Virginia. Later generations of my immediate forefathers relocated to the Mid-Atlantic States, primarily Maryland.
My maternal side of the family have deep roots on the Delmarva, as well as being direct descendants of Teague MacQuillan of Clan MacQuillan, known as the "Lords of the Route" and occupied Dunluce Castle in County Antrim, Ulster (Northern Ireland).
Deported from London, Teague arrived at the James River settlement in Accomack, Virginia, with his wife Mary and 3 known children. It has been said that 99% of American Quillan/Quillen/Quillin's are descendants of Teague.
Most of the memorials that I manage are my family members. I welcome any corrections and added facts you can share because that information makes memorials even more special.
God bless
