Bio

Born 1951. Eldest child to Ralph F. & Jean Owen Crotts. Dad's father was Walter Conelius Crotts; mom's dad was Vincent Corbin Owen (Transylvania Co., NC). Walter Crotts was son to Carlo Crotts (Cleveland Co., NC), who was son to Edward Crotts, who was son to Emanuel Edmund Crotts (born around 1800) who was son to Valentine Crotts (which is derived from the original Kratz, a family that apparently relocated from Pennsylvania Dutch, PA to the Piedmont of NC in the mid 1700s; the suspected progenitor of the family, Valentine Kratz, is believed to have come from the Rhineland-Palatinate area of Southeastern Germany in 1727). My mother's family goes back to Welch-English roots and includes the surnames of Lee/Leigh and Parker.
