I live in the coastal North Carolina area. My ancestors lived in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, followed by Danby, Vermont and then Illinois starting in the 1850s. My parents moved to Detroit when I was a toddler.
It was during the start of the pandemic that I became a member of ancestry.com, followed by wikitree.com in the fall of 2020. Recently I realized I could create files, as necessary, to link family members on findagrave.com. It has been quite satisfying.
Here's a big shout-out to all the volunteers who have initially created memorial pages, making it so much easier to locate family members and then link them, and, to the volunteers who seek out the graves to take photos.
