Bio

I have been interested in family history for over 40 years. In the beginning it was more difficult as I lived across the country from my ancestral homes.

I have benefited greatly from the work others have completed on findagrave.com. It's time I do a service to benefit others.

I had a large listing for the Vancleve Dunn Cemetery I created on a visit ages ago. I noticed not many were on the findagrave.com site. So I've increased it considerably and manage over 70% of the 152+ memorials. As such, I've completed a recent trip to take initial pictures of the memorials and upload them to findagrave.com. I'm looking at ways to improve the pictures. Some memorials were hard to read and they were not uploaded. I made a second trip to add gps to the memorials.

I do not create a memorial for a person that is living although a grave marker may show their name. So there will be dynamics going forward as I become aware of needed updates and pictures.

Locally, I help by adopting a couple of large cemeteries with photo requests from others. I've been able to meet some but have a way to go as the list is over 100.

Any way others can help with this documenting of our ancestors is noble, worthy and appreciated.
