Bio

I have always enjoyed visiting cemeteries. They are so peaceful and most often beautiful. My favorites to find are the ones on my back road excursions out in the country through Indiana or wherever I may be traveling. I will read the names and dates and just be amazed that "this person" existed and wonder what their life was like and I always imagine they were a kind and loving person...even though that might not have been the case with each one, but I can't help but assume that's how they were! I do, however, believe that each one was loved by someone, if not many.

Then I found Find a Grave a few years ago and didn't look into it too much - I would simply look for the information I needed and was done. It wasn't until last week a friend of mine discovered we could be photo volunteers! We immediately signed up and are very excited to help others view the grave sites of their relatives.

My family lineage includes Tolsmas, Tuuks, Dekkers, Keizers, Weirengas...and many more to list as I continue the research my mother, Nancy Louise (Tuuk) Keizer started 30 years ago. I can't say that I wasn't interested at the time, but I was young and felt like I had "better things to do". Now I'm much older and wish (oh how I wish!) she was still here and we could do research together.
