Bio

I found my biological father in 2020 via a DNA test. I never knew about him and & he never knew he had daughters. He never married. During this same time, I found my new sister who also is his daughter, she never knew he was her father either. While looking for a grave for him, we discovered that our father's ashes were missing & there was no grave info, so with the help of my sister, I went in search and found his cremains stored in the basement of a funeral home in the city near my home. They had been there for 28 years unclaimed. He was a WWII US Army veteran & after his service was a professional photographer....We gave him a military burial and ceremony with full honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL 3 months later. I like to think he was just waiting for his daughters to find him so we would know he was our father. You can now rest in Peace Joseph F. Donohue. Till we meet, you are in our hearts.
