Bio

I always pondered why my mother worked so diligently to document and share information and photos of those who are no longer with us. Until recently. As I stumbled upon two separate grave sites, with little to no information about the souls who rested there, it all clicked. And I admired my mother for the time, effort, and assiduousness she put into documenting and relaying as much as she could for families to see of where their loved ones were resting eternally, or to experience connections being made between families and slowly putting pieces of the puzzle of our history together.

I'd give anything to spend the day with my mother now, at a cemetery, documenting every piece of information from every headstone, carefully documenting and taking clear photographs. She was an amazing researcher and genealogist. I don't expect to fill her shoes in this department, but I am looking forward to contributing what I can as I am out exploring the world around me off the beaten path.

I live with my father and my 12 year old son in Martinez, GA. I have a 22 year old daughter residing in Lugoff, SC with two young girls of her own, making me a grandmother of two inquisitive little minds! I have epilepsy and am unable to drive or go anywhere independently anymore, but tend to be stubborn, so I still do as much as I possibly can, including exploring state parks, lakes, rivers, and tend to end up in places that amaze me with the untouched landscape.

Here's to you, Mom!

Please consider stopping by my mother's memorial page and leaving a flower. She loved the color blue.
