Thoughts of our loved ones are reminders that they too watch over us and that indeed, at a deep level, we remain an interconnected source of nurturance and community.

My passion at find-a-grave is reconnecting the memorials of children with their parents and siblings. For so many years and miles their names may have been separated. When they become reconnected there is a feeling of fullness, wholeness and calm.

I appreciate the efforts of the many volunteers who help make these reconnections possible. Their kindness honors the amazing complexity of our lives; the amazing complexity of our stories and our deaths.

At 79 years, my path with findagrave will be incremental and evolving. As a former healthcare chaplain and minister who has journeyed with over seven hundred people who have died, I see this accompaniement with findagrave as a way to stay grounded; as a continuation of honoring the sacredness of all of life.

I sincerely hope that I will be able to assist others make discoveries and the connections that they have been trying to make.
