Bio

I inherited the role of family historian from my father. Now that I am retired, I am working my way through many large totes of information. My focus was primarily on the four families of my history, but the links go further of course. The Armstrongs, the Shaws, the Nicols and the Macdougalls/McDougalls. Most of the recent family history is found in Brandon/Souris Manitoba, Moosomin/Wapella Saskatchewan and York/North York Ontario. Further back, we are looking at England, Scotland, Ireland and Ceylon.
My wife has now expressed an interest in her family tree, so we have added the Wens/Wenz, Mechler/Maechler/Mechlair, Isaac and Klassen families to our explorations. Much of her family history involves, Manitoba, Ontario, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, France and England.
