I have always been interested in genealogy. I had wonderful grandmothers who would tell me the stories of my ancestors and I like to pass those stories on to my siblings, children, and nieces and nephews.

Visiting cemeteries has always been a peaceful activity for me. I like reading the markers and figuring out the history of the people there. This website is amazing to combine virtually preserving the cemeteries of the world and linking families together.

I like to use the website FamilySearch.org to compile my family lines and do further research. It's very user friendly and has a great feature to show you how you are related to people (if you are, that is).

I currently live in Iowa, but I have also lived in Texas, Washington, Alaska, Utah, Idaho, Ohio, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I am married with 4 daughters. I am a former English Teacher and use that proverbial red pen to find any mistakes that need to be rectified to make sure accurate histories are kept.
