Doug is a retired elementary teacher living in Willmar, Minnesota. His hobbies include travel, photography, computing and attending opera performances. He has taught grades 4 - 6 in White Bear Lake, and Willmar Minnesota. He is married, (Mary Ann Norman Wilkowske) and has two sons, (Christopher David Wilkowske and Andrew Herbert Wilkowske. In 2003 he formed a nonprofit organization called E-quip Africa, with the mission of bringing gently used computers (currently only laptops) and other school needs to the West African nation of Ghana.
