I live in Greene County, Pennsylvania, the Southwestern corner bordering West Virginia.

I started researching my family in August 2021 and have become obsessed with this. My father, Herschel C Gapen, had researched a lot of his tree, so I just continued filling in my family tree with my research on ancestry plus records my father had. My father was an active member of the Greene County Genealogical Society, serving as president the year of his death in 2003.

I am currently researching the paternal side (Gapen & McCann) and the maternal side (Herrington, Moser and Evans) mostly from the Greene County/Fayette County, Pennsylvania area.

All edits that I make on Find-A-Grave come after researching completely. I have found a lot of information on here that helps me along the way with my research. I also use Ancestry.com to find most of my sources to back up my information.

I have taken some photos of graves and hope to be able to contribute more soon.
