My great grandparents, on my grandmother side, are John Erving and Starlene Erving. My family is from Bonita, Mer Rouge, Bastrop, and Galion Louisiana. I'm trying to figure out who my great great parents were. Louisiana has been a second home to me since I was a little girl. I know that I am related to the Paynes and Carrs. I was told that my great grandfather's name, on my granddad side, was Travis King. Which happens to be my uncle's name, as well. I was told that my great grandmother's name, Travis's wife, was Bertha Payne. I have to look into that a little bit more because I'm not sure how true that may be. I know quite a bit about my family's history but not enough. I'm researching Black Native Indian Tribes of Louisiana to see if my family was apart of any of them.
