Bio
I've been interested in family history and genealogy for around five years. (I focus primarily on people and places in western Kentucky, coastal North Carolina, and colonial Virginia and Maryland — just to name a few!)
These are some of the surnames that I've taken a particular interest in researching: Barrett, Bean/MacBean, Boyd, Bruce, Bryant, Cope/Kob, Edmonds, Elkins, Gibson, Granade, Gray/Grau, Howton, Lampley, Marttinen, Midyett/Midgett, Morgan, Murphy, Oliver, Pace, Parks, Pittman, Sanderson, and Sullivan.
A note on hyphens: It seems like "__ great-grandfather" is preferable to "__-great grandfather." I also prefer it that way — but I often find myself placing the hyphen in the wrong place. Forgive me for those slip-ups!
