Now more than 35 years in television and radio broadcasting which extended to the music industry. Shannon started in radio before graduating from Joplin High School, then continuing to MSSU, B.A. Comm. (1994).

After beginning in radio, transitioning to television and then Nashville's Music Row. Shannon spent 20 years working with major labels and top-level acts in promotions and public relations.

Shannon has been honored with nearly 30 Gold and Platinum Album Artist Awards. He was nominated by Billboard Magazine, Independent Promotions Executive of the year 2005.
