Five generations of my family are buried in the Old Bethel and Longview Cemeteries. I enjoy working on genealogy and finding my ancestors. For the most part, they were hard working, resourceful and creative folks. They were Pioneers of Kentucky and left quite a legacy. William Brice Shields, possibly a first marriage? Where did he live prior to 1870, Berry, Harrison County KY? The 1880 Census finds the family in Hillsboro, Fleming, Kentucky. This census mentions that his father and mother were born in Virginia, US.

Martha E Latart McFarland, who was her husband? She had a child with McFarland, whose name is William McFarland. I can not further information on William McFarland.
