Filling in family tree of Seth Capes who settled in Westmoreland NY. in 1800's , from East Riding Yorkshire, Eng. , Molineux, Cooper, Spaulding, Kane, Casler, McGovern for my father's paternal lines.
Also my father's maternal lines: McLaughlin, Mahoney, Mahardy, Gartlan, Fox, Spain, families of Ireland who lived in Newport, Herkimer County NY, and McLaughlins who dispersed into Nevada and California in the late 1800's.
As well as the families of my step-grandmother - Lonis, Fifield, Gay, and Rutledge families of Herkimer, Lewis and Otsego counties.
Pursuing my mother's line in Paraguay will be a much more daunting task.
I have fully taken over my father & late uncle's 50+ yr family tree quest after being their assistant since I was a child. Searching cemeteries and providing photos and bio info, has become a much more fruitful hobby and passion now.
