I became interested in my ancestry a couple of years ago, so I joined WikiTree to see how difficult it was to build a family tree. It quickly became apparent that I knew very little about even my recent family, let alone my older ancestors and wider family ... which I now know are in the high middle ages from 1000 - 1500.

However, I became hooked, and joining Ancestry and several other genealogy based sites, helped me to build, and extend ,my tree to the current 500+ people.

When I was building profiles on Wikitree and Ancestry, I felt there was never profile 'closure' somehow. Joining Find a Grave, and discovering the, mostly, very helpful people using it, provided the answer.

A well taken and clear photograph of a gravestone, slab or memorial, completes a biographical profile perfectly. So here I am.
