Bio

I have been doing genealogy, With God's Help, for over 30 years. During those years, i have learned, that i for one, DO NOT know it all, and i'm STILL learning EVERY day. However, i have also learned, that you can NEVER trust Ancestry Trees, nor everything on Family Search Trees, etc. You MUST do your own research, and check ALL Official Documents available, such as Birth, Marriage, Death, Obits, etc. Now, in doing your research you will find discrepencies in Birth, Marriage & Death Records, as well as in Obits & even in U.S. Census Records. But, you MUST COMPARE ALL of the Official Documents you can find, in order to get the FULL, CORRECT picture. It's NOT about who's right and who's wrong, BUT my desire AND goal is to be as ACCURATE as i possibly can be, With God's Help ONLY, AND to Honour my Lovedones, as well as other people's Lovedones. I'm NOT here to hoard Memorials. I'm PASSIONATE about my family, and in Honouring the deceased. I TRY to have things the way i FEEL the deceased would have wanted their info, not what others think is right. ALSO, it is important to respect the feelings of surviving family, whether they are a very close relation, or a few generations back, they are family. I wish you the VERY BEST in your research...

I am a direct descendant of the Rideouts that made their home in the East Winn, Maine area. My Rideout Line: Abraham b. 1677 in England & 1st wife Mary; Nicholas Sr b. 1705 in England & 1st wife Mary Hunt Ingersoll; Mark b. 1757 & wife Margaret; Alexander P. b. 1805 & wife Annis; Nathan E. Rideout SR b. 1829 & wife Frances; James A. b. 1854 & wife Agnes; True M. b. 1890 & 2nd wife Hazel; and Chester L. Sr b. 1923 & 2nd wife Elaine. Chester was my paternal grandfather. My Rideout line is buried in Haverill Mass, and at Falmouth; Pittsfield; Litchfield; Lee; East Winn; & Hermon in Maine.

I am also a direct descendant of the Hacketts from Winterport, Maine.
Elijah b. 1808; Elijah C. b. 1843; Albert L. b. 1873; Lledrew C. b. 1902; & Marion E. (Hackett) Rideout) b. 1939. All these are buried at Oak Hill Cemetary in Winterport. As is most of my other forefathers branched from them in my Hackett Family Tree. Most of my mother Marion's family is buried in Winterport, Frankfort, Newburgh, and even in Swanzey, N.H. My maternal grandmother Adelia Hackett's maiden name was Parker. Her Parkers were from Keene, N.H.

My wife is a direct descendant of Joseph Alexandria Arsenault b. 1851 at Prince Edward Island Canada. His son, my wife's great Grandfather: Cecil A. Arsenault b. 1886 in Gorham, N.H., at one point in his early years, changed his full name to Laurence Joseph Osnoe. Some of his brothers also changed their last name to Osnoe, as well, some did not. Thus, the "Osnoe" legacy began. Joseph's original last name Arsenault was grossly mutilated over time. Different records spelled his name different ways. (Marriage Record; Census Records; his wife's gravestone in Benedicta; etc.) Laurence is buried at Kingman, as is his son, Earle, my wife's Grandfather.

I am happy to say, that between my Mum's family, and my Dad's family, i think that AT LEAST one person, over time, Served in each of the various branches of the U.S. Miltary. Navy; Air Force; Marines; Army-in the Civil War; and one in the Merchant Marines.

I'm so grateful for FindAGrave.
