Bio

I've been researching my family lines since early 1990 when my dad gave me some old notes of his grandfather. This sparked an interest in genealogy that has lasted over 30 years. I've since traced back many branches in our tree and over 20 generations to find our roots. I've taken numerous genealogy courses, traveled to courthouses, libraries, cemeteries, and archives all over the mostly southern states and to England, Scotland, and Wales gathering facts, sources, and photos. I wrote a book on my surname called "Ridley Roots" in 1999 which is about Capt. George Ridley and his Descendants. It sold out the first year I published. I've joined numerous hereditary societies and found five original Jamestown ancestors. I believe in citing sources and not embellishing the truth. Just wishing it doesn't make it real. Our ancestors deserve true facts along with our love, honor and respect.
