1932 USN Airship Akron Mooring Accident

On May 11th, 1932, at Camp Kearny in San Diego, the Navy Airship Akron suddenly ascended, pulling four of its ground crew into the air. One let go and survived. Two others fell to their deaths, and the fourth was pulled into the airship.
