Here rests the lost crew of the USS Indianapolis. At 1215am, July 30, 1945, 'Indy' was struck by two Japanese torpedoes, sinking in the Philippine Sea in 12 minutes. The largest shark attack in history. Only 316 survived out of the 1,195 on board.
